Andy Completes his BG

Congratulations to Andy Oliver, who completed the BG last weekend in sweltering conditions. On the same day as nearly half the runners on Wasdale Fell race decided to pull out due to the heat, Andy soldiered on and got around in 23:30. Good effort by him and his band of accomplices/ pacers

Hathersage Gala Fell race

A very midgy and rocky one by all accounts. Caity came in 2nd Lady again, a creditable result, beating some serious general contenders. Chris was about 3-4 minutes behind Caity sporting bruised feet and being just a little fatigued(!) Trail shoes for that race next year maybe? Not sure of exact placings so I haven’t …

Saunders Mountain Marathon

Congratulations to Glossopdale runners in the Saunders Mountain Marathon this weekend.  Lindsay and Jude came in 8th overall in their Class, and 1st Female pair Phil and Els came in 16th,  7th Mixed pair.  Caity and Alison came in 40th, and 2nd Ladies,

Debdale 7k

Cat and Fiddle Down and up relay

Glossopdale had a small presence at the Cat and Fiddle Down and Up relay tonight.  Tim, partnering Steviek from Pennine came in 2nd overall behind Simon Bailey and partner.  John Hewitt and Chris Jackson were 7th overall.  Neil McGraw and Caity were 13th overall and 3rd Mixed pair.  Excellent running from all involved.

Glossopdale in Chamonix 80k

Andy Fox, part of the pacing team for the recent Bob Graham success has been racing in Chamonix. He took part in the Mont Blanc 80k race, coming in 136th overall (of 471) and 13th in V50 The 80k took 16 and a half hours. Well done Andy.

Caity and Chris raid sunday

Caity and Chris followed a somewhat surnburnt day in Wales running in Foel Fras – part of the Club Fell championships with a day of 2 races. The tour of the Peak District involved the Bakewell Pudding race, with Puddings for prizes(!) followed by the Langley Fete race. No idea about positions, but I’m sure …
