8-14 August report

Good luck to Phil Pearce who has departed Glossop for Boston, USA – we look forward to roving race reports from across the water, flying the GDH colours high for us in the States.

Rhodeswood trail race – Dan Ellingworth finished this 4.12mile inaugural race in 34.33 finishing in 7th position. Congratulations on the top 10 finish Dan!

Sedburgh Hills – Chris Jackson finished in 10th position and Jenny Ross was 5th lady and 72nd overall (full results).

Eccles Pike – three running at this midweek race, we were represented by Tim Culshaw (finishing in 16th place in 27.26), and what looks like a close battle with John Hewitt (24th in 28:40) and Rich White (26th in 28.45).

Denis Stitt Memorial race – did anyone race this? no results out yet

Bassenthwaite Triathlon – Cheryl Stitt completed the scenic short course in 2:00:44 (full results).

Parkrun – plenty of us out running parkruns this weekend with 22 of us at our local run in Glossop; we also had Claire Campbell at Medina IOW, Mark Ollerenshaw first finisher at Marple, Kirsty Johnson at Watergrove Rochdale, and Rich White at Stretford.
