- Mid July Report
The blocked footpath problem on the Herod Farm route has now been solved with a new gate. Many thanks to all those involved in getting this issue sorted!
Mary Jeal clocked 1.01.00 at the PEAK FOREST FELL RACE
Chris Jackson was 59th and 6th in his age group in 1.27.20 at the SNOWDON INTERNATIONAL RACE. Caity Rice had a fantastic race to come home as winner of the Ladies Open race in 1.30.13, 7th Lady overall with only 6 ladies representing their respective countries in front of her. Great running again by these two fine young athletes!
Neil McGraw ran at the PODIUM 10K and clocked 38.05 finishing 14th in the B race.
Kirsty Johnson continued her recent run of success finishing 1st Lady in 39.58 at the MOSSLEY 10K. Well done Kirsty!
Several of Glossopdale’s finest travelled over the hill to race at the Fell Champs counter at HOLME MOSS race. In a keenly fought tough race especially at the sharp end, Tim Budd had a tremendous run to finish 2nd, Mark Ollerenshaw 3rd and Chris Jackson 8th despite having raced at Snowdon the day previous. These excellent placings secured the team prize for the Glossopdale men, our ladies also did well coming 2nd team. Great runs also by Caity, Steve Crossman, Zoe, Rich, Paul Skuse, Nick and Sharn. Special mentions for Steve and Sharn finishing their 1st AL fell race.
