Mid-May Round-Up

Several harriers ran at the Belle Vue Racers’ MAD HATTERS TRAIL RACE in Reddish Vale. Chris Jackson continued his excellent form with a fantastic 4th position. Neil and John H had a titanic battle all the way round the 2 lap hill course with the younger man just prevailing at the end. GDH results:-

Mark Ollerenshaw was 6th in 46.50 and Mary Jeal 138th in 72.35 at the CRESSBROOK CRAWL race.

Kirsty Johnson represented her county Greater Manchester in the Inter County Fell Championships at  RAS MOEL EILIO and recorded a time of 88.30. Tim Budd (71.51) and Chris Jackson (72.39) also ran in the race over this tough course.

Neil McGraw was 1st V40 and 7th overall in 26.55 and Steven Pepper 110th in 33.49 at the Milltown Races OLDHAM 7K

Parkrun Corner

Course PBs for Emma at Newcastle and Steven at Stamford Park. Phil Swan celebrated his 50th Park run with his family at Burnham and Highbridge, Matt Crompton and son Adam ran at Clumber Park, Joe at Hull and Rich W at Lyme Park. Conditions were conducive to fast times at Manor Park where 15 harriers were running. Caity lowered her pb to 19.01 which is now a new ladies record and there were also new best times for Paul Peters, Darren Clarke and Ian Oates yet again. Vicki also recorded a personal best time and recorded her thanks for her pacer Coach J
