Club report: 10-16 August

Here’s the race results submitted for last week – great running everyone on a variety of terrain and distances:

Dig Deep Ultra Tour of the Peak District, 60 mile ultra, Saturday 15 August (full results)
Caity Rice had a superb run finishing first lady and joint first overall, crossing the line together with Ian White after running most of the race with him. She also beat the previous Lady’s record by about 10 minutes, finishing in 10:29:50.

Jud Hirst was out in force as well running his first ever ultra race – the longest distance he’d run prior to this was 50km so this was a big step up. Jud ran brilliantly and made up places throughout the day, finishing 33rd overall in 15:53:50.

Tim Budd and Lynne Taylor were out on the course running some sections with Jud and Caity and doing road support. Photos from Lynne.
