  5. Early September report
kirsty and paul
Paul and Kirsty at Hatters.

To kick off this week, a bit of Road Running reportage: a couple of Harriers represented at Salford 10k. According to Chip times, David Boundy came in at 42:22 and David Chrystie- Lowe (who had a faster gun time) Chipped at 42:41 – Good effort from both of them .

Hatters Half-Marathon also took place in Stockport – Kirsty Johnson stormed in as 2nd Lady in 1:29:32, and Paul Drury was 259th in 2:14:16.

It was only Serial Racer Chris Jackson who traveled up north for the Ben Nevis Fell Race. Running between rain showers he got up and down in 45th place – another sub 2 race in 1:56:54 – and only 2 mins behind Gwyn Bellamy – formerly of this neck of the woods.

Rachel Walton organised and managed the Shelf Moor Fell Race this weekend,

ably supported by many of the Harriers. First home from GDH was Matt Huxford in 11th, followed by Jamie Helmer in 13th and Darren Clarke 45th. Lindsay was first GDH lady home, swiftly followed by Jo Brack.

Parkrun

Jamie Prophet has obviously been training whilst on holiday and celebrated getting back to the Shire with a PB at Glossop Parkrun, Lawrence Fennelly also recorded a Glossop PB this weekend.

The travellers to further flung places included Kirsty Johnson, who headed to Marple; Rich White attempted to get some fellrunning practice in at Lyme park; Paul Peters, Jo Travis and Emma Peters headed up to Keswick and Andy Burnett was across at Stretford.

thursday club run
Not actually a race, but the Thursday night social run – I thought it was a lovely picture, so put it in as well. Thanks Jude for the pic.
