Chapeau to Carl Bedson who won the MDOC LONG SCORE EVENT, held in Rowarth. Completions also by Phil and Neil, Charlie and Anne.
Well done also to Chris Jackson who finished 15th in 54.18 at the SNOWDON UPHILL TWILIGHT RACE. Great to see Chris’s dad Tony out racing as well after injury recording a time of 79.21 for the tough climb.
Darren Clarke was 77th in 53.50 and Alabama Breeze (see below) 177th in 71.39 at the popular WHALEY WALTZ FELL RACE. 216 ran.
Congratulations to young Wyatt Barlow and mum Laurie who raced at the TATTON PARK RACE FOR LIFE 10K recording a time of 72.50.
There was a fantastic turnout of harriers for the multi-stage ROUND SHEFFIELD RUN event, a Club Champs counter. Special mention for Chris Jackson who finished 8th in a cracking time of 1.15.46 for the 20K also. Caity was 1st Lady, Neil 4th V40 and Sue 5th V40. It was a great day out for the club and fully enjoyed. Commiserations to Phil and Jenny who suffered ankle injuries which prevented them from finishing. GDH results:-

Jamie Helmer was 1st GDH at the KINDER TROG closely followed by Carl picture below, Nick, Clive and Steven also completed despite an ankle injury.
Parkrun Corner
Plenty of parkrun tourism this week with David C-L at Oxford, Lizzie at Whitley Bay, John Hewitt who was 2nd at Sherwood Pines, Claire Campbell at Dolgellau. Closer to home Rich White recorded a course PB at Lyme Park and Andy Fox ran at Marple. Star of the show in Manor Park was young Sam Gregory who enjoyed a feeling very few runners enjoy when he was first back. Well done Sam, hopefully more to come. PBs also for John Stephenson by a 30 second margin, Alison and Rachel Walton improving every run. Congratulations all.
