On a very windy day, nine harriers made the short trip over the hill to Birch Vale to race at the FAMOUS GROUSE FELL RACE, the last counter in the Fell Championships This was the 25th anniversary of this local low-key race where the entry fee has been pegged at £2 since the race started. Chris Jackson in 6th place overall took the 30 points as did Caity Rice on her return from injury. She also won a litre of whisky as 1st lady home and 8th overall.

Neil McGraw clocked 1.27.47 and was 89th out of 1272 runners at the BENIDORM HALF-MARATHON
