Mid August Weekend Update

Tim Culshaw and Rich White travelled up to Western Scotland to take part in the inaugural SALOMON GLEN COE SKYLINE RACE.  This was billed as ‘Soaring ridges, exposed traverses and precipitous drops. Fast and light over rough and technical terrain. A fusion of alpinism and mountain running. Welcome to Skyrunning.’ All this over 53K with 4200 metres of ascent. Both the harriers did amazingly well, Tim was 56th in 10 hours 49 mins 36 secs, Rich 96th in 12 hours 2 mins 4 secs

FULL RESULTS

Kirsty Johnson was 1st Lady and 14th overall in 41.27 at the ROCHDALE 1OK, a new event organised by Cannonball Events. Neil McGraw and Tim Nudds both ran as pacers (2hrs 30 and 2hrs 45 respectively) in the ROCHDALE HALF-MARATHON which was held on the same day.

Parkrun Corner

PBs for Lawrence and Caity, also notching up her 50th,  at Lyme Park with John S and also David Munday who was racing for the first time on this tough course. Dan had a PB at Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen as did Ben Tetler at Stamford Park. Jereon and Emma tried out the parkrun at Newcastle whilst Mark O, Darren, Becky, Beryl. Rachel K and Helen all ran at Brabyns Park in Marple.

Neil McGraw was 1st V40 in the B race of the PODIUM 5K at Barrowford
