It was another great weekend for the all-conquering Glossopdale Babes who are enjoying unprecedented success just now. Pride of place must go to XC Captain Kirsty Johnson who clinched victory in the SOUTH-EAST LANCS XC LEAGUE SERIES at Boggart Hole Clough. She powered away from her nearest rivals on the first lap and finished strongly 30 seconds clear of a Salford Harrier in 2nd place. Kirsty is the first ever Glossopdale Harrier to win a XC League Series. Well done KJ!

SERIES RESULTS

Meanwhile Ladies Captain Caity Rice was racing as a member of a team in the tough HIGH PEAK MARATHON. Along with Heather, Judith and Sally from DPFR, making up the ‘Does My Bum Look Big In Mist Team’, they had a cracking race to finish 1st Ladies Team and 8th overall in an excellent 10 hrs 11 mins 12 secs.

Again the GDH blokes had a good HPM also. Tim Culshaw and Rich White, running with Alex and Tom as the ‘John Hewitt Appreciation Society’ Team finished 15th in a fine 11.57.38

Tim Budd had another superb run to finish 6th in 36.34 in the WFRA PIPE DREAM FELL RACE at Dolgarrog. Alasdair was 20th (40.59), Lins 3rd V40 (52.01) and prize winner.linsTIM’S EXCELLENT REPORT HERE

Another Welsh raider, this time on St David’s Day, was Chris Jackson who recorded an excellent PB of 1.27.53 in the ANGLESEY HALF MARATHON

Another Babe Sharn Whaites had a good run on Sunday morning to finish 1st Lady at the GREAT RUN LOCAL DEBDALE 5K. Quick Draw Neil won the race with 2 seconds to spare and achieved a 70% age grading.
