Sue Clapham had a tremendous day out and finished jt first lady in the SBU35 an ultra trail race along the St Begas Way from Bassenthwaite Lake heading SW through the Lake District mountains to St Bees on the coast. Sue covered the tough route in an incredible 7.03.46!

Mark Ollerenshaw was 4th overall and Caity Rice 1st lady at the CROWDEN HORSESHOE where the men picked up the team prize with good packing from Chris Jackson and Matt Keiras and the ladies also with Lizzie Leason and Beryl Buckley backing up the skipper.  Great to see Matt and Ben back racing, Tony had a ‘Happy Birthday’ rendition on the start line.  RESULTS

Tim B, Al, Caity and Chris travelled to Wales to race at MOEL FAMAU, a counter in the Cotswold Outdoors North Wales Series held at the Cilcain Show.  Tim finished 3rd, Chris 8th, Caity 12th and 1st Lady and Al 13th. Full results below, awaiting series update but Tim and Al well placed.

Parkrun Corner

Dan Ellingworth and other members of the club joined the Glossop Parkrun team as they took over the volunteering for the morning at Marple as part of the preparations for the inaugural event in Manor Park scheduled for the end of September.

On the running front Kirsty Johnson was 2nd and 1st Lady at Watergrove Rochdale, Caity Rice 6th and 1st Lady at Stamford Park, Malc Brown ran at Oldham, Matt Crompton at Peterborough and Jereon, Darren, Becky and Carl at Marple

Carrying the name of Glossopdale Harriers once more onto the international scene was Andy Burnett who raced at the Amager Faelled Parkrun in Copenhagen
